Kayden and his 2 sisters were born in a plastic igloo right as a blizzard hit the Trailer Park where his mother lived with her owner. Now Esme, the mother of the pups, was highly superstitious and had a set of odd beliefs. She believed that blizzards in general served as a warning of trialing times and struggle- but, if a blizzard hits an area where blizzards seldom occur

Theo, 2 brothers (Axel and Elliot), and 3 sisters (Mariam, Ellie, and Stina) were born to a female named Marabella- a recent stray due to the fact that her owners had dumped her on the streets after they found out that she was carrying a litter of unplanned puppies that they didn't want to have to deal with. Having heard of the birth of his pups from a stray friend, Anders, the pups' father, left his owner's lavish home in Ivy Heights to be with his beloved mate and children.
The large family unit selected an open, vacant room within an apartment complex in which to live; after all, it was dry, safe, comfortable, and there was plenty of food and water nearby. The family lived here happily until disaster struck for the parents after the pups had passed their first birthday.
It happened on a stormy Spring night. Theo was shaken from his slumber by shouting and the barking of his parents. Apparently, the unit that the dogs had been living in was a vacant rental property; and when the would-be rentees opened the door and discovered eight uninvited guests sleeping there, things turned ugly pretty quickly- as the rentees weren't too crazy about dogs. When the people turned on the light, the adult dogs woke up and attacked one of the kids. Determined to defend his nine year old daughter, the man grabbed an old book from one of his cardboard boxes and brought it down upon one of the adult dog's heads with enough force to shatter the skull; thus, killing that dog.
That dog was Theo's mother.
Angered by his mate's death, Anders immediately let go of the wailing child's arm and went for her killer. He was met with a kick to the underside. After getting up and before he went back in, he gave several loud barks to his children (all of whom were now wide awake) to leave and not look back. Saying nothing, the pups fled whenever they saw an opening (some of them got a few blows from the angry human parents as they retreated). Against his father's command, Theo looked back just in time to see his father pinned and the man's hands tightening around his neck before Mariam called for him to hurry up.
Into the early hours of the morning, Stina was fatally hit by a car as the siblings were crossing over a street in Ashford. The remaining siblings could only watch helplessly as she disappeared under the wheels of a white Jeep and as the horrified young female driver stopped the car, jumped out, and ran over to the dog's stilled form and started dialing a number on her phone and sobbing uncontrollably.
It was then that the the siblings decided to split up for their own safety. Theo lived his life as a feral dog; fighting other homeless canines and sometimes stray or feral cats for rights to toppled over trashcans, old cardboard boxes, and moldy, torn cushions. Luckily, he didn't have to live that way for long.
He was picked up by an animal rescue van and placed in a no-kill shelter. Where, after a few weeks of being socialized and taught to trust people again, he was adopted by a young female college graduate by the name of Anna Mitchell. Anna began to call Theo ''Blake' and spoiled him rotten; buying him gourmet wet dog food, a red hollow rubber toy (that she often filled with vanilla Greek yogurt, blueberries, diced up apples, and sliced bananas), a large down-filled dog bed (though he often slept on the foot of her bed), took him for daily walks, and gave him a nice red nylon collar with 'Blake' embroidered in it in lime green stitching.
Then along came Adrien.
The first time Blake was introduced to Adrien, he knew something was off about his owner's potential mate. He tried to warn her by barking, growling, and even snapping at the man; only to be scolded and told to behave himself. Blake finally gave up- if she was happy with Adrien, then so was he.
But one day, the two humans got in a fight. Anna was furious at Adrien after she had gone through his phone and saw recent less than ideal texts from another girl. She immediately threw him out despite his denial and whines of protest. Little did she know that would be the start of the end for her small house...and her beloved two year old dog.
While Anna was out to dinner with some friends one night, Adrien had broken into the dark house and started rummaging around in the kitchen for fine chinaware and silverware. The sound of a shattering plate followed by the smell of an unwelcome guest made Blake wake up and relinquish his spot on top of his human's bed in order to investigate.
By the time he found Adrien, he had taken as many valubles as he could carry, had all of the windows open, covered the floor in some acrid smelling liquid (gasoline), and had lit a match. He smiled when he saw the dog and dropped the flaming match almost casually before exiting the house, which quickly began to fill with smoke and flames.
Blake raced around the house in a panic. The doors were locked and the windows were too high for him to jump out of. His eyes were soon watering. His lungs hurt. He quickly realized the he was trapped. Knowing this, he went back to take his place on his human's bed where her curled up; his nose tucked under his long, fluffy tail, and closed his eyes for the last time...
-------
Anna had left dinner after getting a frantic call from one of her neighbors that her house was on fire and that firetrucks were there now. When she arrived, the fire was out. She was approached by one of the firemen; a solemn look on his face.
"Ma'am, was this your house?" he asked her.
"Y-yes..." She replied.
"We found a dog. Do you own a dog?"
"...I do..."
"We found a deceased canine in the bedroom."
Her face went pale and tears started to form in her eyes.
"...W-what was the name on the collar?"
"It was pretty hard to tell with all of the smoke residue on it, but we think it said 'Blake'."
"...Oh..."
The man put a gentile, but firm hand on her shoulder as her tears came.
"Do you want to see him?"
"...Yes."
Her dog's slightly singed body was sent for and retrieved from the charred house.
"Thankfully, the bedroom wasn't touched by the fire, but there's a lot of smoke damage. We think that he died via suffocation as a result of smoke inhalation. I'm so sorry."
"Oh, Blakie Boy."
The grieving woman took Blake's ash-covered body and sank to the pavement and cradled it in her arms as her grief-stricken cries echoed into the starless night.

Blake, now a spirit, had been refused entry into Neamh by Bandia; as she said that he still had Earthly Work to do. He knew that he had to watch over his Anna. But on his way back to Earth, something happened and he was transported so that he was standing in a fiery place before Tine. Tine told Blake that he saw great potential for power within the male; the power to kill. Immediately, the soul was presented with images of Adrien and the play-by-play of his earthly, fiery death, which earned an enraged snarl from him. Tine convinced him that he didn't need to listen to Bandia and promised that he would give him the power to kill whomever he pleased and once again showed him an image of Adrien. Now hungry for revenge, the ghost asked for that power. Smiling with satisfaction and pleasure, Tine renamed the soul Vetix and sent him back to Earth to seek out Adrien.
Soon after arriving back on Earth, Vetix encountered another new spirit; a Husky by the name of Sivax. The two ghost canines soon bonded over their hatred of humans and their hunger for revenge.
Revenge in mind, Vetix led Sivax to the door of the room that he had slept in as a pup with his family while he was alive. Grinning, he told his new companion that they were going to kill the people that slept there; phase one of his master revenge plan. The two spirits waited until nightfall before they floated through the door and killed the man who killed Vetix's parents and his mate and kids before the drifted through the walls and scared all of the remaining residents into packing what they could carry and flee the building as the amused laughs of the ghostly dogs floated up into the air.
