TECHA LABREA-DELL
The night is full of holes
Patron God/Goddess: None. She's an Atheist.
As bullets rip a sky of ink with gold
Name: Techa LaBrea-Dell
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Once Heterosexual, now Asexual
Breed: European Grey Wolf (mother) x Northern Rocky Mountain Wolf (father)
Age: 6 years
Appearance: Techa is not the prettiest wolf by any means. She is thin and a little undersized for her breed. Her frame has neither fat nor muscle (save what is needed for her to survive). Her long, skinny legs are pitch black like her tall, narrow, upright, triangular ears as well as her face. Her face and front paws/legs are always covered in soot from the fires that she uses in her craft of welding and iron working, and her facial and front limb fur has been singed in some places. Her bright yellow eyes contrast strongly with her dark fur. She doesn't see herself as a beautiful wolf as stated earlier, but she could be quite a male magnet if she actually put some effort and time into her appearance... and if she made an effort to lose the sour attitude.
As far as mutations go, Techa is normal- unlike most of Baile's residents. She does, however, have a weak immune system and always seems to have a nasty cough.
Moral Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Temper: Techa is a female with a good side that's almost nonexistent. She gets annoyed when her customers try to flirt with her or even when they give her genuine compliments. She cares very little about the outside lives of her customers, but she has learned to passively listen and nod her head every so often if they end up telling her about the drama in their lives. Also, she expects her pay no later than two IRL days after she has given her customers their completed item. If she doesn't get her pay on time, she will leave the work to her assistant and march right off to find the offending consumer and harass them until she gets what she was promised.
Strangely enough, Techa is gifted not only in metalworking and wielding, but in music. By looking at her, one never would've guessed that she was a celebrated singer in her old pack and an astounding song composer. No one (other than Roet) knows of this talent that she makes an effort to keep hidden away. She writes her songs on cured rabbit pelts and keeps them stored away in a little metal box that she made herself at the back of the cottage.
The wolf is a huge pessimist who has a knack for finding the bad things (no matter how trivial) in any scenario. She cannot tolerate laziness, bad grammar, goofing off, or the lack of good manners (how ironic).
When it comes to religion, Techa is not afraid to openly insult the deities of Baile or to mock the religious canines that may come see her for her services. She think's it's childish and absurd that someone would put all of their faith in someone that you can't see. She also despises canines with mutations (especially if they are of Troid). Not only does she see them as 'unnatural' and as 'freaks', she also has her personal reasons (see history).
She is fluent in Dutch and is known for cussing in Dutch or/and speaking in her native tongue when she's angry/annoyed/upset.
The only living thing that she can tolerate is her assistant; a two year old 'fixed' male Siamese Cat Mix that she has affectionately named 'Roet' (Dutch for 'Soot').
They know that they can dance - at least they know

Techa was born on Baile; in the Stone Forest to be exact; to a female named Bloem ('Flower') and a male named Rots ('Rock'). Now, her parents were descendants from a small group of surviving wolves who had found themselves on Baile after the cargo boat that they were on sank en route to North America from Denmark due to its water pumps failing. Anyway, these Dutch wolves taught their offspring Dutch and gave them Dutch names, which was then done for the offspring's offspring and so on. So that's why the young mated pair named their two sons Aarde and Lucht and their two daughters Brand and Hemel.
The siblings had the fortune of being born into a small, local pack called Opari; a pack of dogs and wolves; which their parents had joined before the birth of their first litter. Once pups reached a year in this pack, they were taught how to sing; as singing was an important aspect during the pack's daily lives and it also played an important role when it came time to choose a mate. And so, at the age of one, the siblings began their singing lessons. Their teacher was a female Siberian Husky by the name of Vienne. She was a strict instructor; often lecturing and shaming her students if they got a note wrong or made an error with their timing. Poor Lucht and Brand were frequent targets of these lectures, but Hemel was the favorite out of the class made up of seven pups. Vienne praised her; calling her 'the best young singer in the pack'.
When the siblings turned two, the time came for them to seek mates. Hemel's superb singing voice caught the attention of the alpha pair's son named Mirr and not long after, Gemme, twins Hele and Heldig, and Delga were born. Life in the pack was good until what she would later dub 'The Day of Red Stone' happened.
It happened on a clear Spring night during Hemel's third year. She was woken up by crazed laughing and barking and dying screams and whines of pain. She emerged from her den to see a small group of odd-looking dogs enter dens within the camp, drag out their occupants by a limb or tail, mutilating them, and finally, killing them. Pups were ripped from their mothers; the females were taken hostage alive while the males were tossed around like rag dolls before having their skulls crushed. Mirr saw this too and shoved his mate and children into the very back of the den before going out to fight. It wasn't until the next morning that the full extent of the carnage was seen. Hemel's parents, along with most of the small pack, had been killed by the intruders; their throats ripped open and limbs severed. Her sister was missing, and her mate and pups were the sole survivors.
Devastated and now homeless, the family unit left their homeland. A few days later, a terrible blizzard separated her from her mate and pups. Frantic, Hemel pushed on; searching for her family. But, she had lost their scent in the snow and couldn't hear a thing due to all of the wind.
After a year of searching, she soon found herself in front of a deteriorating stone cottage in a sea of tall grass and wildflowers. Alone, the tired wolf collapsed outside of the rotting wooden door. She woke up on a bed of pelts in front of a flickering fire and a kind, old Arctic Wolf staring down at her with warm brown eyes that were clouded with age and who smelled of smoke and singed fur. He kept calling her 'Techa' and saying that she had 'finally come back to him' (he had a daughter named Techa who ran away when she was a year old, and he thought the wolf before him looked just like her). Now, Hemel (now Techa), felt bad for the old wolf and didn't bother to correct him.
This old man taught her how to work with fire and how to use it to shape metal. He also taught her how to write and control the intensity of what he had called his 'Foraging Fires'.
Tragically, the old wolf died just after Techa turned five due to his old age. But soon, she came across a young, orphaned kitten while she was hunting for a rabbit to eat. She took pity on the hungry creature, and took him back with her. She named the blue-eyed kitten Roet (because it looked to her like someone had painted his cream fur with streaks of soot from a fire) and raised him as her own.
Now, at the age of six, Techa is still going strong (though being around all that ask and smoke has left her with a constant, nasty cough) and Roet (now a year old) is learning the ways of the 'Foraging Fires'.
