Appearance: Manalec is a fairly average-looking male- there's nothing special about his appearance. He is a bit on the stockier, heavier side in terms of build. His long fur is comprised of various shades of brown- with the lightest shades being on his head, ears, throat, jaw, and towards the tip of his thick, feathery tail while the darker shades are contained to his limbs, base of his tail, scruff, back, and his flanks. His nose and lips are liver (brown) in color.
Like all members of Troid, this male does have thick skin, a black forked tongue, a third clear eyelid, reptilian-like light brown eyes, elongated teeth (only), hook-like teeth and nails, and his body radiates a natural warmth at all times. He lacks numbing venom. There are some scales of the same color as his fur hidden under the fur on his shoulders, limbs, behind his floppy ears, and on his haunches that act as a sort of natural body armor. They can only be seen on a windy or extremely sunny day; as the scales reflect light.

Temper: Manalec is highly dependable, yet he can still suffer inwardly from mood swings that carry him from the heights of euphoria to bouts of depression. In most cases, he is adept at concealing these conflicting moods in public. It is only this closest friends and family who are given a glimpse of this inner turmoil.
Manalec tends to be somewhat distrusting of love and the other person's motives in general. He exercises extreme caution before revealing his true emotions, and this understandably gets in the way of starting romantic relationships. He would rather keep his feelings to himself if it means risking rejection.
That said, when he will make the commitment to be in a relationship, it's an all-or-nothing venture.
Once he finds a mate, he is likely to stay with him/her no matter what challenges are encountered along the way. Manalec fully believes in "Until death do us part," and jealousy can be common.
Manalec makes an excellent friend, and his loyalty is without question if they take you under his wing. However, woe to any friend that betrays him. The male dog has a long memory, and he makes a daunting enemy to people who are foolish enough to mistreat him.
Manalec is a hard worker and reliable to a fault, if such a thing can be said. He likes to plan things out methodically to make sure every base is covered, and he always sticks with a plan of action until he meets his goals.
Luckily, he has a healthy respect for authority, but also demands that same respect when he is in charge. He sets very high standards for his own performance, and expects exactly the same from his pack members and underlings.
