Púca canines, better known among the living as Púcas, are the spirits of deceased canines who have not been granted entry into Neamh or Ifreann for whatever the reason may be; to protect a living loved one or to fulfill some sort of mission that they failed to complete in their living lives. Their bodies appear to be solid in dark/dim lighting and are translucent in bright lighting. Usually, the younger spirits find amusement in scaring the living by hiding in walls, boulders, or trees and sticking their head out as the living pass by. If a pack canine dies, their Púca will lose the outlandish traits of their pack. Instead, they will begin to radiate an electric blue (good) or blood red (bad) light depending on how the canine behaved during his/her life. Púcas can also serve as messengers between the gods/goddesses and their devotees. In the graveyard, at night when the fog blankets the ground, you might come across a Púca playing with a ghost child. Most Púcas are good and want to serve as a protector/Guardian Angel and forgive their murderer(s) if they were killed. But, beware. There are some Púcas that are out for revenge for their death and will stop at nothing until their murderer(s) are dead as well. The bad Púcas also like to toy with the emotions and feelings of the living and play cruel mental games. New Púca canines can be bought in the store or a revival card can be purchased in order to revive a character that died on-site. Bad Púcas are repelled by certain prayers and crucifixes. They typically congregate on Shriek Island, in the Graveyard, in Soot Woods, or in the area of their death.
