Zombie canines can be bought from the store. Pups can be born with it on-site.
Canines with Marbh Syndrome (i.e. Zombie Syndrome) smell of death and are slow and uncoordinated in their movements. Their flesh is rotting off of their bones and is crawling with maggots, beetles, flies, and worms (which the Marbh Canine eats). Their fur is dull and patchy; falling off in clumps. They are often scavengers and cannibals; preferring canine flesh (living or not) over traditional prey flesh when it is available. Their eyes (if they still have them) are dull and resemble fire in terms of the colors in the iris. The colors within the iris move, swirl, and shift constantly like ink in water. They even flicker as a flame might. They rarely talk; often making gurgling, spitting, moaning, growling, or howling sounds. If they can talk, their voices are hollow, empty-sounding, and flat. Pups born with this syndrome are born stillborn, but only wake up after their parents and living siblings have left the area that they were born in. They are drawn to loud noises and the scent of blood. The only way to truly kill a Marbh Canine is to decapitate it, shatter its skull and destroy the brain, or to completely burn it without getting bitten. These canines are typically nocturnal, stick to warmer climates/temperatures, and shady/dark areas during the daytime hours. These creatures (both male and female) are also sterile. They typically like to hang out in the Salt Marshes, on Shriek Island (if they can somehow get there without drowning), the Graveyard, Old Ruby Mine, or at the Sunrise Pyramid Complex.
